The University of Texas at Arlington Athletics Department held its annual All-Sports Banquet on Monday evening at the Blue Bonnet Ballroom on the campus of UT Arlington. IDILIO CAMPOS EARNS SOUTHLAND ALL-CONFERENCE RECOGNITION

After finishing the fall cross country season with a 13th-place finish at the NCAA South Central Regional and a fifth-place finish at the Southland Conference Championships, Idilio Campos has been named an All-Southland Conference performer.

The UT Arlington men's and women's cross country teams each took 13th place at the NCAA South Central Region Championships at Cottonwood Creek Golf Course in Waco, Texas on Saturday morning. Senior Idilio Campos led the Mavericks with a 13th place finish with a time of 31:18.4, marking his top 10K time this fall.

UIL REGION II CROSS COUNTRY MEET AT VANDERGRIFF PARK SATURDAY

The University of Texas at Arlington cross country program will host the UIL Region II Cross Country meet on Saturday, Nov. 8, at Vandergriff Park in Arlington. The first three teams and the first 10 individuals in the regional meet qualify for state.

The UT Arlington men's and women's cross country teams each placed fourth at the Southland Conference Championships on Monday morning at Piney Woods Country Club in Nacogdoches, Texas. The men's 8K race was won by Lamar with 29 total points while the women's 6K race was won by Texas A&M-Corpus Christi with 49 points.
