Bowman, a 6-foot-1 two-time first-team All-East Texas pick and the District 15-3A Most Valuable Player both as a junior and senior averaged 13.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, three assists and three steals a game... named Class 3A all-state by the Texas Girls Coaches Association (TCGA), all-region by the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches (TABC) and first-team all-East Texas by the Tyler Morning News... her Brownsboro Bearettes team finished the year 34-4 and lost to eventual-state champion China Springs, 60-48, in the Class 3A state semifinals... was selected to the TGCA All-Star game and played for the Class 1-3A north squad... lettered in track and field.
