Named All-SLC Third Team... earned SLC Player of the Week honors after a career-high 24-point performance against Kansas State (Dec. 14)... finished the season averaging 11.5 points and conference with 12.6 points per game... led the team in assists (124) in consecutive seasons... became eighth all-time in assists and 3-pt. field goals made (49) in a single-season... recorded 19 games of 10 or more points and 10 games with five or more assists... scored a game high 22 points on 9-of-20 shooting from the floor at Oklahoma State (Mar. 21) in the WNIT... grabbed one or more rebounds in 31 of 33 games... dished out a career-high eight assists on three occasions... had consecutive 20-point performances, the first at Central Arkansas (Feb. 21) and against Lamar (Feb. 25)... scored 19 points on 7-of-16 shooting, including 5-of-8 from three-point range at McNeese State (Feb. 11)... scored 17 points against Midwestern State (Nov. 26), at Texas State (Jan. 31), against A&M-Corpus Christi (Feb. 4) and against Nicholls State (Mar. 4)... scored 15 or more points in all three games in the SLC Tournament.

In her rookie campaign with the Lady Mavericks, Simmons appeared in all 29 games while making 28 starts in the starting rotation in the lineup... led the squad in assists (102), steals (29), ranked second in three-point shooting percentage (.357), and fifth in scoring average (8.5)... scored a career-high 23 points on 8-of-11 shooting, including a perfect 5-of-5 from behind the arc and 2-of-2 from the charity stripe, to go along with two rebounds, and two assists against Elon Phoenix (Dec. 20)... posted 18 points on 7-of-11 shooting, 4-of-6 from three-point range to go along with a career-high seven rebounds and seven assists in 31 minutes of action versus Sam Houston State (Feb. 28)... finished with 16 points, grabbed five rebounds, two assists and two steals at home against Texas State (Mar. 8)... notched 16 points on 6-of-12 shooting including 4-of-9 from behind the arc, to go along with three rebounds, two assists and three steals in 33 minutes of action versus Stephen F. Austin (Mar. 1)... scored 14 points on 4-of-9 shooting, 2-of-2 from three-point range, including 4-of-5 from the free throw line to go along with five rebounds, two assists and one steal against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (Feb. 23)... recorded 14 points, three assists and one steal on the road against Southeastern Louisiana (Jan. 19)... collected 13 points on 6-of-18 shooting to go along with four assists and two steals in triple overtime versus Marshall (Dec. 18)... notched 13 points, two rebounds, and five assists against SMU (Dec. 8)... collected 11 points on three occasions against Big XII opponent Texas (Nov. 29), Central Arkansas (Jan. 10) and Northwestern State (Jan. 12)... notched 10 points on 4-of-10 shooting, including 2-of-6 from behind the arc to go along with five rebounds and six assists... posted 10 games of five or more assists and 19 games of two or more rebounds this past season... finished the season by averaging 8.5 points, 2.4 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.0 steals per game.
Mansfield Summit High School
As a senior, Simmons averaged 11.1 points a game and led her team in scoring with 434 points... shot 76 percent from the charity stripe and 31 percent from beyond the arch to lead the Jaguars... ended her high school career ranked second in career 3-point field goals with 65 made at Summit High School... was a Texas Association of Basketball Coaches all-state and all-region selection as well as a Texas Girls Coaches Association all-state selection... helped lead Summit to the state semifinals and was ranked third in the state in class 5A.... was an first team all-district selection as a senior and honorable mention selection as a junior.

Simmons is the daughter of Tony and Brenda Simmons... born January 21, 1989 in Grand Prairie, Texas... has one brother - Tony... majoring in psychology.
