In her rookie campaign with the Lady Mavericks, Simmons appeared in all 29 games while making 28 starts in the starting rotation in the lineup... led the squad in assists (102), steals (29), ranked second in three-point shooting percentage (.357), and fifth in scoring average (8.5)... scored a career-high 23 points on 8-of-11 shooting, including a perfect 5-of-5 from behind the arc and 2-of-2 from the charity stripe, to go along with two rebounds, and two assists against Elon Phoenix (Dec. 20)... posted 18 points on 7-of-11 shooting, 4-of-6 from three-point range to go along with a career-high seven rebounds and seven assists in 31 minutes of action versus Sam Houston State (Feb. 28)... finished with 16 points, grabbed five rebounds, two assists and two steals at home against Texas State (Mar. 8)... notched 16 points on 6-of-12 shooting including 4-of-9 from behind the arc, to go along with three rebounds, two assists and three steals in 33 minutes of action versus Stephen F.
