Lindsey Wilson begins her fourth season as an assistant coach at UT Arlington. In her three seasons with the Mavericks, Wilson has helped lead the squad to a 66-20 overall record, three Southland Conference Tournament appearances, and the program's second trip to the NCAA Tournament and WNIT. Wilson graduated from The University of Central Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education in 2006. She was a three-year letterwinner for the Bronchos after transferring from Southeastern Oklahoma State following her freshman year in 2002-03. As a senior, she ranked among the leaders in the Lone Star Conference after making 37.2 percent (48 of 129) of her three-pointers. A three-year starter at Hydro-Eakly High School, Wilson helped her team to three straight state titles. She averaged 17 points and 3 assists per game as a senior in 2002 to earn all-state honors. The Wilson name in no stranger to the coaching circles in the state of Oklahoma. Her father is longtime prep coach Rick Wilson, who has won six state championships at Weatherford (Okla.) High School. Wilson will handle academics, travel/scheduling and tape exchange within the women's basketball program. The assistant coach will work primarily with the forwards. She is currently pursing her master's degree of science in physical education from UT Arlington. |
