UTA 53 vs. Tulane 62

Overall thoughts on the game
"We came out with good energy and I thought we attacked them well and stuck to our game plan. Our press was really effective and we were playing well together. We had a lot of people scoring. I do think that in the second quarter we slowed up a little bit - foul trouble hurt us a little.
"The third quarter, Tulane did a good job in surrounding Rebekah VanDijk every time she caught it and didn't give her any easy looks at the basket. We just stopped playing defense, it was really disappointing because we hang our hat on that. We just weren't pressuring them and I am not sure what changed. They have been there and done that before, you could see that in their experience. We just thought it was going to be easy and didn't finish it."
On looking back at the season to take into the offseason
"In a few days, after the sting goes away, we will be able to reflect back on some great things that happened this year. I am really proud of the girls and the accomplishments we made and the strives we took moving forward in our first postseason experience.
"I am one of those that is never satifisied and always want more. If we have 22 wins, I want 23. If we make the WNIT, I want the NCAA Tournament. Our kids have to have the same type of desire and hunger. They will get it and get there. This was a step in the right direction."
On the two seniors
"I am really proud of them in that they were able to leave a legacy and just building it in the right way. Allyson Te'o has been here for four years and has built it from the ground up with us. For her to be playing a postseason game in her senior year is a great reward for her efforts. Breck Clark has joined right in and has tried to lay the foundation as well. We have taken great strides with both of them here.
"When we do win the Sun Belt and we do get into the NCAA or advance in the WNIT, Breck and Te'o will be a big part of that because they built it for us and got us going in the right direction."
