Postgame Notes

  • Arkansas topped UTA 91-57 on Sunday. The Razorbacks moved to 8-3, while UTA's fifth consecutive loss pushed the team to 5-5. 
  • The five-game losing streak is the team's longest since the 2013-14 season when dropping seven in a row. 
  • The starting lineup of Laurynn McGowen, Lauren Billie, Shelby Richards, Jennifer Parker and Rebekah VanDijk marked the seventh different lineup UTA has used this season.
  • UTA led for the first nine minutes of the first quarter before an 8-2 run by Arkansas reversed the deficit. UTA turned the ball over seven times in the final four minutes of the opening stanza.
  • Richards hit UTA's first 3-pointer of the contest at the first-half buzzer. UTA was 0-for-4 from long range before the knock down.
  • VanDijk was the first into double figures, knocking down six free throws in the first half. VanDijk finished with a team-high 14 points and was just two rebounds short of her 40th-career double-double.
  • Richards finished with a career-high 12 points. 
  • Laurynn McGowne had a season-high 10 points. 
  • UTA is 0-7 against Arkansas all-time and 5-24 against teams from the SEC
  • UTA has not defeated a Power 5 opponent since 2004. The four Power 5 teams on the schedule are the most in one season in program history, and Sunday's game marked the first time in program history to face three consecutive.
  • The Lady Mavericks close the nonconference schedule on Thursday when they host San Francisco at 4:40 p.m. UTA and San Francisco are meeting for the third time in series history, last matching up in 2010 in a tournament hosted in Lubbock, Texas.
