UT Arlington at Arkansas
Sunday, Dec. 17, 2017 – Bud Walton Arena – Fayetteville, Ark.
UTA coach Krista Gerlich
"It has been tough, we have had a lot of adversity to fight through but we have got to get better. We have to get tougher and we have to get emotionally driven. That is what I said to them in the locker room. We have to play with more fight and more heart. There are moments where it looks like we never practice and then there are moments where we show we can play with a team like that. I credit Arkansas, they shot the ball really well and the countered when we stepped up into things. But that stretch in the second and third quarter where we turned it over like 15 times, we just can't do that and have to get better."
On the play of Shelby Richards
"I am proud of her. She is one of them that is trying to do everything she can to help our team. She is trying to take up some slack to pick up where Cierra left off. It is difficult for her because she is not a scorer, but is doing a lot of good things for us.
On the focus to finish off on a positive Thursday
"It is about us and has been for the last two or three weeks. Our team has to gel together. They have to fight harder and push each other harder and buy into what we are doing to get wins. They have to compete every single day and compete on the court as well.
