THE GAME: The UT Arlington women’s basketball hosts University of Arkansas at Little Rock Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at College Park Center. Both teams lost in their Sun Belt conference opener and are looking to get their first league win. The last time the two teams met the Mavs topped the Trojans 59-58 in Arlington.

SCOUTING UALR: The Trojans are 6-5 overall and 0-1 after a 42-35 loss at Texas State Thursday night. Junior guard Taylor Gault is posting 11.4 and 2.2 rebounds per game for UALR with fellow junior Kiera Clark close behind with 10.2 points per game.
LAST TIME OUT: UT Arlington women's basketball fell 66-62 to Arkansas State to open Sun Belt Conference competition. Freshman Allyson Te'o scored a career-high 12 points after shooting 6-8 from the floor. Desherra Nwanguma and Tahlia Pope also scored in double figures, combining for 22 points.
WHO TO WATCH: Senior guard Laila Suleiman has scored in double figures in four of the last five outings. She is averaging 12.6 points and 2.2 rebounds in those games.
GERLICH ERA: Krista Gerlich is in her first season at UTA after seven years at West Texas A&M. Gerlich compiled an impressive record of 168-53 in seven seasons at West Texas A&M. Her teams won four consecutive South Division Lone Star Conference titles from 2007-10 and three consecutive Lone Star Conference championships from 2008-10.
GERLICH QUOTABLE: "We need to respond to an emotional loss. We need to get our legs back under us with such a short turn around. We're going to have to work on mental toughness and fight for a win."
LINEUP CHANGE: Coach Gerlich has used four lineups in 12 games so far this season. Seniors Laila Suleiman and Desherra Nwanguma, as well as junior transfer Tahlia Pope, have remained starters in all 12 contests.
MAVERICKS IN 2013-14: UT Arlington returns eight letterwinners and two starters from last year. The Mavericks welcome two freshmen as well as four transfers (one sophomore and three juniors) for the 2013-14 season.
