ARLINGTON, Texas - The UT Arlington women's basketball team will host the Denver Pioneers Thursday, March 7 at 7 p.m. in College Park Center.
The Mavericks are 6-21 overall and 3-13 in the Western Athletic Conference. The team is 2-3 since Karen Blair has been named interim head coach.
The match-up will mark the third time for the programs to face off against one another. The two schools meet earlier this season in Denver when the Pioneers defeated the Mavericks 90-52in Dec.
The Pioneers are 13-14 overall and 8-8 in league play and are in a four-way tie for fourth place. Morgan Van Riper-Rose leads her team averaging 13.3 points per contest and Maiya Michel ranks second in the WAC in rebounding averaging 9.7 per game.
Laila Suleiman leads the team averaging 8.7 points per game throughout the season and 9.9 in conference play. Desherra Nwanguma is averaging 10.5 points per WAC contest and 8.3 throughout the season while Aron Garcia is leading the team with 7.5 rebounds per game, which ranks her eighth in the WAC.
