Scouting The Thundering Herd...
Marshall is coming off a 56-51 win over Morehead State on Tuesday, November 25 at the Cam Henderson Center in Huntington, W. Va.

The Herd overcame an 11-point deficit with 14 miniutes remaining to capture their fourth win of the season. Chantelle Handy recorded 16 points on 5-of-7 shooting from the field, 6-of-7 from the free throw line and added eight rebounds against the Eagles.

Joining Handy in double digits was C-USA Player of the Week Tynikki Crook, who scored 12 points, her eighth straight game with ten points or more. Harris went 5-of-6 from the floor en route to a 13-points performance.

For the first time this season, the Herd lost the rebounding battle as MSU finished with a 44-39 advantage. The Herd's problems in rebounding came mostly on the offense end as MSU grabbed 21 offensive boards, compared to Marshall's total of 11.

Marshall finished the game shooting 34.5 percent from the field to Morehead's 30.3 percent from the floor.

Series History With The Herd...
Tuesday afternoon marks the second all-time meeting between the Mavericks and the Thundering Herd in women's basketball history.

The last time both squads met was last season with Marshall topping UTA in a 97-91 triple overtime victory on December 18 at Texas Hall.

In that game, Candice Champion and Tamara Simmons finished with 13 points apiece while Kiarra Shofner added seven points.

For the Herd, Casey Baker notched 22 points on 9-of-14 shooting, 1-of-2 from behind the arc and 3-of-5 from the free throw line. Marshall leads the all-time series with a 1-0 lead.
