ARLINGTON, Texas - UT Arlington Women's basketball heads to Lubbock to play its second of nine road games against Texas Tech. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. at the United Spirit Arena on Wednesday. This will be the 11th meeting between the Mavericks and Red Raiders. Texas Tech holds an 8-2 lead in the series. The last time these two teams met was in the First Round of the 2005 NCAA Tournament. UTA lost 69-49.

Tech has won the last seven meetings, with UTA's two wins coming in 1975 and 1978. On Dec. 17, 1975 the Mavericks downed Tech 75-65 in Arlington. Three years later on Dec. 5, 1978 the Red Raider won 69-66 in Arlington, but later forfeited to give UTA the win.

Texas Tech is coming off a 73-49 loss at Stanford on Sunday (12/3). The Red Raiders are led by three players who are averaging double digits. Alesha Robertson leads the trio with 13.1 points a game. Erin Myrick is averaging a double double on the season with 12 ppg and 10.3 rpg. Jordan Murphree has added 10.8 points a game.

In UTA's 67-64 loss at SMU, senior Terra Wallace led all scorers with 19 points, while senior Ashley Bobb recorded her first double double of the season with 16 points and 16 rebounds. Wallace leads the Mavs on the season avergering 16.6 points a game. Sophomore Erin Dixon leads the team in rebounds with 6.9 a game.

The Mavs will be a little closer to home as they take-on TCU in Ft. Worth at the Daniel-Meyer Coliseum on Sunday (11/10) at 2 p.m. Prior to the game UTA's Maverick Club will be hosting a pre-game brunch at Blue Mesa Grille (1600 South University Drive) from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m..
