BOONE, N.C. - Hoping to prove a recent stretch is an anomaly, UT Arlington women's basketball looks to rebound from its league-opening loss when it takes on Appalachian State on New Years Eve at 11 a.m. CT.
The Lady Mavericks had been a team that was red hot in the Eastern time zone, winning 12 consecutive in the coach Krista Gerlich era, however, have dropped their last three dating back to last season. UTA fell to Coastal Carolina in its Sun Belt opener, going to 6-6 overall for the season.

LAST TIME OUT
Crystal Allen had a team-high 19 points and Daiane Machado had a career-high 16 points, but it was not enough as a run early in the fourth lifted Coastal Carolina to a league-pening win.
