Prior to UTA: A 2004 graduate of Mineola High School where she excelled in volleyball, basketball, softball, and cheerleading... earned all-district honors at first base as a freshman and all-district third base honors her sophomore year... co-captain and offensive player of the year as a junior... named the District 11-3A Offensive Player of the Year in 2003... team captain as a senior... honored as the district's defensive player of the year in 2004 and named to the all-east Texas Infield first team... named the Mineola Monitor Female Scholar Athlete of the Year as a senior... finished in third place at ASA nationals with East Texas Flash club squad in 2004... academically a three-time member of the National Honor Society... named to Who's Who Among American High School Students... earned the MHS Scholastic Softball Player Award.
