Compiling 71 hits on the season, Mendoza is the Mavericks new single-season hits leader, passing Katie Jones 70 hits in 2007.

Sophomore (2006): A second-team all-SLC honoree in the outfield... played and started in 53 games at left field... hit .352 to lead the Mavs (ranked 7th in conference) with 58 hits (6th in SLC) for 165 at bats, scoring 31 runs... had 11 double and three home runs on the season... led the team with 7-9 for stolen bases (tied for 13th in the SLC)... started in all 25 games of conference play, hitting .420 (2nd in SLC) with 34 hits in 81 at bat.
Freshman (2005): Named honorable mention all-SLC after starting at left field as a true freshman for the Mavericks... ranked 18th in the SLC in batting average (.310)... had a nine-game hitting streak during the season and recorded nine multiple-hit games ... ranked third on the team in slugging percentage (.330), hits (31), total bases (33) and stolen bases (4)... batted .338 in 25 conference games.
Prior to UTA: A 2004 Cedar Hill High School graduate with notable accomplishments on and off the field... awarded the school's defensive player of the year as a junior... an all-district pitcher as a junior and senior... earned second team all-area honors in 2004 and was named her squads MVP... an academic all-district selection and honor roll recipient her junior and senior years.
