UTA won a pair of fall exhibition contests against Midwestern State and UT Dallas on Saturday.
UTA was invited to the postseason for the first time since 2003 in the NISC.
UTA's 32-win season was the most wins for the program since 2011 and first postseason appearance since 2003.
UTA opens the NISC Beaumont Regional against Abilene Christian on Tuesday at 4 p.m.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2017): One of three Mavs to start all 60 games ... Featured a .302 batting average with 55 hits, 34 runs (9th in UTA single-season history), 6 doubles, 5 triples (5th in single-season history) to go with a .423 slugging percentage ... AS A FRESHMAN (2016): Started all 49 games at shortstop ... Scored 39 runs, placing her ninth on the Mavs' single-season runs list ... Third on the team in batting average (.324), hits (48) and on-base percentage (.408) ... Tied with Sandra Mendoza for 48th in Division I in triples per game (0.08) ...
