2010-11 [Sophomore Season]
All-SLC Honorable Mention recipient... helped the Mavs to a second place finish in the SLC after posting a 10-5 record with a 1.75 ERA... finished the season with a 2.37 ERA with a 14-14 record and 129 strikeouts... recorded five shutouts and three 10 strikeout performances... led UTA to a 5-2 win over Wichita State (Feb. 19) after pitching a complete game and striking out 11... pitched a 9.0 inning effort and struck out 12 over Wichita State (Mar. 5) to led the Mavs to a 4-3 victory... led UTA to a 7-0 shutout win over A&M-Corpus Christi (Mar. 7) after pitching a complete game and one-hitter.

True freshman Teri Lyles is coming off an amazing season where she guided the Mavericks to the Southland Conference Tournament as the No. 3 seed... backed behind her stellar pitching, Lyles helped lead UTA to a 29-25 overall mark and a 16-12 conference record... Lyles was named the 2010 SLC Freshman Pitcher of the Year and earned Second Team All-SLC Pitcher accolades... Lyles is only the third player in UTA history to earn the recognition... during the SLC Tournament, Lyles was named to the All-Tournament team after leading the Mavs pasted No. 1 seed Stephen F. Austin for her eighth shutout win of the season- third over SFA... earned All-Tournament team honors at the Baylor Tournament after her 7-for-14, two-RBI performance at the plate and a 0.89 ERA... earned SLC Pitcher of the week honors on two occasions... Lyles finished her first season with a 1.78 ERA in 219.2 innings with 122 strikeouts... she pulled double duty all season on the mound and at the plate, recording a .285 batting average (2nd on the team) and led the league with a 1.78 ERA... recorded a .313 batting average with 31 hits, three doubles, one triple, two home runs and 14 RBI in conference action... connected on 14 multi-hit games, including three or more hits in four games... registered shutouts over Texas Southern, Southeastern LA., UTSA, Northwestern State, SFA (Apr. 10-11), Sam Houston State, and SFA (May 15)... blasted her first career home run on the road over Sam Houston State in game one... recorded a one-hitter over Texas Southern connected on her second homer of the season a few days later at home over McNeese State in game three... selected to the Capital One/SLC Commissioners Honor Roll.

Lyles is a four time letter winner...in 2008, she was the Offensive player of the year in district 5-5a as well as MVP of Keller High...as a senior, she was named MVP of district 5-5a...led the DFW area in victories, strikeouts, and shutouts...named an NFCA Academic All American...voted Sports Day softball player of the week for May 25th, 2009 and was also a nominee for the award April 5, 2009...collected the Star-Telegram Super Team Pitcher honors for 2009...named to the 5a Texas High School All-State second team as well as the USSA World team...voted pitcher of the year by Vype Magazine...played summer softball for the Texas Blaze and the Fort Worth Bat Busters.
