2007-08 [Freshman Season]
In her first season in a Lady Maverick uniform, Simpson finished eighth on team with a batting average of .258... had 26 hits on the season, including three doubles and nine home runs... led the team in walks with 24 this past season... cited as a Third Team All-Southland Conference selection... connected on her first career home run on the road versus Texas State (Feb. 27)... drilled a pair of home runs in game-three against Southeastern Louisiana (Apr. 27)... recorded a career-best two doubles and one run scored at the Southland Conference Tournament against Nicholls State (May 9)... connected on a three-run blast at home against North Texas (Mar. 26)... posted two hits and a pair of RBI versus Prairie View A&M (Apr. 2)...recorded 21 hits of 43 games this past season... connected on a homerun, including two runs scored and a walk versus McNeese State (Apr. 5)...drilled a two-run blast at home versus Central Arkansas (May 3)... recorded a .533 slugging percentage and .389 on-base percentage this past season... posted a .960 fielding percentage only committing 10 errors on the season... appeared in 43 games while making 41 starts in the starting lineup... finished league play with a .259 batting average with 15 hits in 58 at-bats to go along with 14 RBI, one double and six home runs.

A 2007 graduate of Arlington High School where she played third base on the softball team all four years... a four-time all-district first team selection... three-time Fort Worth Star Telegram Super Team... two-time 7-5A MVP, Dallas Morning News all-area and all-state first team... selected as the Fort Worth Star Telegram Newcomer of the Year as a freshman... as a senior played in the All-State All Star Game... hit .512 as a senior and 12 home runs.
