Stephanie Walls joined the Texas-Arlington coaching staff in 2003 after a successful softball career at Texas Tech University. Walls will continue to assist Perry with the outfielders and in hitting as well as with the conditioning of the Lady Mavs.
The Albuquerque, N.M. native transfered to Texas Tech after playing the 1995-96 season at the University of New Mexico.
From 1996-99 Walls was an outfielder for the Red Raiders, earning all Big 12 honors in 1998. Walls was a versatile member of the nationally-ranked Red Raiders as she served as team co-captain in 1999. Walls appeared in 155 games in her career, starting 144 and recording a .269 batting average.
Walls earned her undergraduate degree in exercise and sports science/psychology from Texas Tech University in May 2000.
Walls attended Sandia High School, earning all-district and all-state honors at second base.
