One of four UTA players selected to the All-SLC honorable mention team... a SLC All-Academic First Team recipient... a SLC Commissioner's Spring Honor Roll honoree... concluded her junior season fourth on the team in batting with a .273 average... connected on a career high 42 hits which was the second most on the team... recorded four doubles, two triples while driving in 16 RBI and collecting 24 runs scored... ... in 58 starts at second base, Zink committed only six errors... finished with nine multi-hit performances... went 3-for-5 with five RBI and four runs scored at Prairie View A&M (Mar. 16)... went 3-for-3 with two RBI and a run scored over Texas State (Mar. 2)... recorded a pair of hits including a triple vs. Louisiana Tech (Mar. 6).
2009-10 [Sophomore Season]
Finished fifth on the team with a .241 batting average where she connected on a career high 35 hits... finished the SLC Tournament with a .273 average, going 3-for-11 with one triple, two walks and driving in two RBI... recorded a team leading eight multi-hit performances... went 1-for-3 with a double and three RBI in game one against Southeastern La. (Mar. 6)... registered a pair of hits and RBI in game one against UTSA... finished 1-for-3 with two RBI and triple at the SLC Tournament versus A&M-Corpus Christi...defensively, Zink finished with a .964 fielding percentage... was a Capital One/SLC Commissioners Honor Roll and a Second Team All-SLC Academic Team recipient.
In her first season, Zink started all 47 games and finished the year with a batting average of .206...had 28 hits in her 136 plate appearances, including two doubles...stole a total of eight bases with an on base percentage of .260...connected on three hits against Prairie View A&M(Apr 15) and drove in a run while scoring twice...finished the season with 5 runs batted in and 18 runs scored.
Sterling High School
During her prep career at Sterling High School, Zink was a two-sport athlete where she earned seven letters in softball (4) and volleyball (3)... was part of a program that made the state playoffs in each season... led her team to a 96-31 overall record... was selected as the Gatorade Rookie of the Year and earned honorable mention all-district laurels as a freshman... earned second team all-district honors as a sophomore... was named first team all-district, all-area defensive player of the year and offensive player of the year as a junior... collected first team all-district honors, named the all-area defensive player of the year, and the lady rangers' offensive player of the year and was selected to the All-Greater Houston softball team as a senior... selected to the TGCA (Texas Girls Coaches Association) All-State and Academic All-State teams, collected TXSWA (Texas Sportswriters Association) second team All-State honors and was selected to play in the 4A/5A All-Star game this past summer... as a three-year letterman in volleyball, Zink led her squad to the state playoffs in each season and compiled a 96-29 overall record... set a school record with 1926 digs playing in the libero position... was a first team all-district recipient on one occasion, a three-time all-area defensive player of the year and was named to the third team All-Greater Houston volleyball team in her final season... off the diamond, Zink was a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Rangers Leaders, National Honor Society, National Honor Roll, National Society of High School Scholars, Key Club, and a Student Council Representative...graduated Magna Cum Laude.

Zink is the daughter of John and Toni Zink... born on March 12, 1990... has one sister -Taylor... majoring in kinesiology.
