2010-11 [Freshman Season]
Finished the season batting .248 with a .316 on-base percentage... connected on 35 hits while driving in 14 RBI and had six doubles... saw action in 57 games, playing mostly at third base... named to the North Texas Classic All-Tournament team after leading the team with a .467 average... connected on her first collegiate home run at McNeese State (Apr. 30)... went 3-for-4 vs. Wichita State (Mar. 5)... went 2-for-3 with an RBI vs. Centenary (Feb. 25)... connected on a pair of hits and had three runs scored at Prairie View A&M (Mar. 16).
Sterling HS
During her prep career at Sterling High School, Zink was a two-sport athlete where she earned seven letters in softball (4) and volleyball (3)... was part of a 21-5A district program that made the state playoffs in each season. She was a four year starter for the Lady Rangers softball team... She received second team all-district laurels and was all-area newcomer of the year as a freshman... earned first team all-district and all-area honors and was selected third team TXSWA (Texas Sportswriters Association) all-state as a sophomore... was named MVP of the Lady Rangers, first team all-district, and was named to the TCGA (Texas Girls Coaches Association) all-state and academic all-state teams as a junior... Received her districts' and the areas' offensive player of the year awards and was the Lady Rangers' offensive player of the year...Zink was also selected to play in and started at shortstop for the inaugural Houston area all-star softball games' east squad in her senior season... As a three-year letterman in volleyball, Zink led her squad to the state playoffs in each season... A two year starter at the libero position... she was a second team all-district recipient her junior year...served as co-captain and received all-district and all-area defensive player of the year laurels her senior year.

Zink is the daughter of Johnny and Toni Zink... born July 14, 1992... has one sister (Courtney)-Courtney Zink is a two-year starter for the Mavericks... majoring in kinesiology.
