HOW IT HAPPENED:
A wild string of innings with UTA runs began in the second with a ground out to second to bring home Kjirstyn Murphy.
After four hits and three runs highlighted North Texas' second, a sac fly by Wright followed a pair of hits to cut into the lead. The Mavs tied it up on Datko's fourth-inning homer, but a long bottom of the fourth saw North Texas take a 6-3 lead with four hits helped along by an error. However, the Mean Green left the bases full to leave UTA in the game.
Single-run frames in the fifth and sixth kept things close for UTA, leading to the big seventh to take the two-run lead.
