ARLINGTON, Texas - UT Arlington fell to 9-10 after falling to North Dakota State in a doubleheader Wednesday at Allan Saxe Field.
The Mavericks began their evening with a 3-1 loss to the Bison.
Brea Konz doubled to left-field driving in the first run of the game. The Mavericks responded when freshman Hillary Steed scored, tying the game 1-1.
North Dakota State scored again in the top of the sixth, taking the lead 3-1. Neither team was able to score the rest of the game.
In Game 2 of the doubleheader, sophomore Callie Collins gave up two runs in the top of the fifth inning, allowing the Bison to score the only runs of the contest.
"We're going to keep working hard and making adjustments," UT Arlington head coach Debbie Hedrick said. "I'm confident we'll come together and start winning games."
The softball team heads to Louisiana to take on the Grambling State Tigers in a doubleheader Friday beginning at 2 p.m.
