San Marcos, Texas - Courtney Enocksen's two run bomb to left field in the fourth advanced the Mavericks pasted No. 1 seed Stephen F. Austin. UT Arlington's 2-0 win eliminated the Lady Jacks and was the fourth time this season the Mavs shutout SFA.

True freshman Teri Lyles (15-14) earned her ninth shutout of the season and third against the Lady Jacks. After an uneasy first inning, Lyles settled down and allowed only five hits the rest of the game. She tossed her 26th complete game, allowing zero runs on six hits while striking out five.

SFA came out swinging in the top of the first as Kendal Harper ripped a shot to the right field wall for a triple. Back by her defense, Lyles forced the Lady Jacks to fly out for the final two outs in the inning.

The Mavs had their chance to score in the bottom of the second when Heather Fortenberry and Brittany Washington connected on singles but UTA was unable to deliver any runs.

With two outs and a runner at second in the fourth, UTA's shortstop Enocksen sent a deep fly ball over the left field wall, good for her first home run of the season.

UT Arlington moved to the seventh inning holding onto a 2-0 advantage but the Lady Jacks weren't going out without a fight. The number nine hole hitter Amber Price connected on a one-out double to right center but Lyles got the second out on a fly out to center.

With two outs in the frame, the SLC Player of the Year Kendal Harper stepped up to the plate. Lyles pitched around Harper giving her an open first base and came right after the next batter getting her to ground out back to the mound for the final out of the game.

Enocksen leads the team in the tournament with a .417 batting average, going 5-for-12 with two doubles, a home run and three RBI.

UTA advances to the next round where they will have a rematch with No. 2 Texas State at 3 p.m.
