Arlington, Texas - The UT Arlington softball squad concluded their fall season with a double- header against McLennan Junior College Thursday evening at Allan Saxe Field.
Game one against McLennan ended in a 1-1 tie but in game two the Mavericks turned it up a notch, winning 10-1.
The highlight of the night came from freshman Taylor Zink who connected on a grand slam to left field in game two which led to a six run first inning by the Mavs.
Junior Charne Office also had a good night at the plate. In the same game, Office ripped a shot to right center for a stand-up three-run double.
UTA opens the 2011 season at the Texas A&M Corpus Christi Tournament in Corpus Christi, Texas on February 10-12.
