Softball hosts Orange for the Cure Wednesday

Orange for the Cure
UTA returns home to face North Texas in their third annual home and home match up. The Mavericks face the Mean Green on Wednesday, April 6 at 6 p.m. at Allan Saxe Field.
Wednesday night's Orange for the Cure game will support Abby Burns, the Texas Women's softball player who was just recently diagnosed and undergoing treatment for leukemia. There will be no charge for admittance and all fans will be asked to make a donation to Texas Women's University. For more information on Abby please visit www.twuathletics.com/news.
The UT Arlington softball team improved to 26-12 overall and 13-2 in conference after sweeping UTSA in San Antonio last weekend. UTA opened the series with a 3-2 win and followed with a game two 11-3 victory. The Mavs wrapped up the series with a 4-1 win on Sunday.
The sweep also gave the Mavericks their seventh straight victory and second conference sweep of the season. It also moved the Mavs to the top of the Southland Conference standings.
