ARLINGTON, Texas – UT Arlington softball hosts McLennan Community College in a Tuesday 3 p.m. doubleheader at Allan Saxe Field.
The Mavericks are undefeated this fall going into the game against the Highlassies, but coach Kristie Fox said there is still room for improvement.
“We have had a really good fall as far as our player development has gone," Fox said. "I am still looking to see which pitcher steps up and wants the ball in her hands with the game on the line."
Senior third baseman Meagan Michele said there is still much to work on before the regular season opens in February.
"As a team I think we need to focus on getting in the game, score every inning and never let up no matter what the score is," Michele said. "Individually, my goal is to see the ball deeper in my at-bats. I'm not going into it looking for home runs or doubles. I'm looking to see the ball deeper and hit right-side line drives."
Admission to all fall games is free at Allan Saxe Field.
