ROADRUNNERS RUN RULE MAVERICKS WITH NINE RUN FIFTH INNING

After falling in round one to Stephen F. Austin, the UT Arlington Mavericks moved to the losers bracket where they faced UTSA and fell 12-3 in five innings of action at the Cowgirls Diamond in Lake Charles, La. The Roadrunners improved to 29-28 with the win while the Mavs end their season with a 23-24 record.

The UT Arlington entered the first round of the Southland Conference Tournament as the No. 5 seed and looked to take down No. 4 Stephen F. Austin but were unable to do so, falling 7-0 at the Cowgirls Diamond in Lake Charles, La.

No.5 seed UT Arlington takes on No. 4 Stephen F. Austin on Thursday, May 7 in game one of the Southland Conference Tournament in Lake Charles, La. Game time is set for 11 a.m. The winner advances to the second round for a meeting with No. 1 Texas State at 4 p.m.

MAVERICKS DROP FINAL CONTEST AGAINST LIONS, 5-4

Three UTA runs in the seventh was enough to overcome Southeastern Louisiana in the final game as the Mavs fell, 5-4 in Hammond, La. at the North Oak Park. The Mavericks fell to 23-22 overall while the Lions improved to 20-33 on the season.
