No. 75 TEXAS-ARLINGTON FALLS TO No. 49 TULSA, 4-3

TULSA, Okla. - The University of Texas at Arlington's women's tennis team fell for the second straight day by a 4-3 count at No. 49 Tulsa. The Lady Mavericks' fall to 2-3 on the year while Tulsa improves to 6-1.
Tulsa claimed the doubles point after UTA could only manage a win at No. 1 doubles where No. 40 Marketa Cizova and Daniela Novakova posted an, 8-6, upset victory over No. 32 Daniela Muscolino and Tima Somers.
In singles action No. 46 Monika Peciulionyte was upset for the second straight day at the top position as she dropped a 3-6, 6-2, 6-0 decision to Muscolino. Cizova and Anete Rozkalne each fell in straight sets at the two and three positions, respectively. Novakova earned a 6-1, 7-6 win over Timberly Greenly at the No. 4 position, while Simri van Rooyen posted a 7-6, 6-1 victory over Usett Peceira in the five slot. Jitka Vetrovcova dropped Santie Delport, 3-6, 6-0, 7-6 at the No. 6 position.
Texas-Arlington will return to the court Feb. 21 when it plays host to Arkansas State at the UTA Tennis Center.
