NEW ORLEANS - The 6th-seeded Mavericks made quick work of their first-round opponent as UTA defeated No. 11 Arkansas State 4-0 on Thursday at the City Park Tennis Courts.
UTA (11-9) advances to take on No. 3 Georgia State on Friday at 11:30 a.m. in the quarterfinals. The Mavs defeated Georgia State 4-1 in the lone matchup this season.
