HADVIGEROVA REACHES CONSOLATION FINALS IN MIDLAND

MIDLAND - Three members of the UT Arlington women's tennis team competed at the 2007 Racquet Club Collegiate Invitational last weekend. Freshman Monika Hadvigerova led the charge advancing to the finals of the consolation bracket. Hadvigerova won her first set 6-2, but eventually fell 6-4, 7-6 to Miami's Michaela Kissell to drop into the consolation bracket. She then rolled through her first two consolation matches before battling 6-4, 2-6, 10-6 for the win over Polina Kokoulina from Boise State to advance to the championship match. UCLA's Elizabeth Lumpkin pulled out the win 7-5, 6-1 to take the title. Sophomore Klara Jagosova won the Mavs only other match of the weekend, 4-6, 6-2, 10-7 over Tiffany Lee from Rice in the consolation round of 16. The Mavs will close out their fall season this weekend at the ITA Regional Championships in Lubbock, which start on Thursday. FIRST ROUND RESULTS
