WACO, Texas - The UT Arlington women's tennis team competed in the Texas Regional this weekend in Waco.

"Our women had another great outing," head coach Diego Benitez said. "Giada and Lizzy took care of first round matches and Brooke keeps dominating her competition.

"She beat a great player from Rice and another from Texas on her way to the semifinals.  The hard work they have put this semester is paying off."

Transfer student from Tyler Junior College, Brooke Dennis, proved that she has come to UTA to compete for the Mavericks.

The Abilene native made it to the Semi Finals after defeating Anastasia Burobina 6-1, 6-1 and Solomlya Zink 6-3, 7-5 in the consolation round.
