ARLINGTON, Texas - UT Arlington women's tennis will face Dallas Baptist and Stephen F. Austin on Saturday before taking on McNeese State on Sunday at the UTA Tennis Center.
"Our women will be playing three matches in two days, so physical condition and stamina will be critical for us this weekend," UT Arlington coach Diego Benitez said. "We will have four freshmen in the line up, but they have already proved that they are ready for big challenges. Hopefully the weather gets a bit warmer so fans can witness a great level of tennis this weekend."
The Mavericks (1-1) host DBU at 10 a.m. and SFA at 2 p.m. on Saturday in Arlington. UTA will conclude weekend play against McNeese State on Sunday at 11 a.m.
Last weekend, the Mavs earned their first win of 2014 against Midwestern State at home. Giada D'ortona did not drop a set in singles play to help propel UT Arlington to a 7-0 victory.
