Arlington, Texas -

It's a busy weekend for UT Arlington tennis, with the men's team hosting a dual match and the women on the road in Tulsa for a pair of matches.

The men begin with Friday matches against Centenary at 10 a.m. and Cameron at 2 p.m. at UTA Tennis Center. The Mavericks dropped their spring opener against Arkansas on Jan. 28.

"The guys are looking forward to start playing at home," UT Arlington coach Diego Benitez said. "We feel a big advantage when we play on our courts. We will play two matches in the same day, so it will be intense."

The women don't play twice in the same day, but their weekend as just as intense. The Mavericks are 3-1 and face Kansas State on Saturday before taking on No. 21 Tulsa on Sunday.

"Our girls have worked really hard all this week," Benitez said. "We will play top teams in the nation and those are the opportunities we want to face. Great things could happen this weekend."
