ARLINGTON, Texas— The UT Arlington women’s tennis team will travel to San Marcos, Texas to take on three Western Athletic Conference opponents.

The Mavericks will start their three-day stint with in-state rival Texas State Thursday, March 28 at 2 p.m. at the Bobcat Tennis Complex.

The Bobcats are 3-3 overall and are 1-0 in league play after a 5-2 win over the UTSA Roadrunners.

Seattle U and San Jose State are also making the trip to Texas and the Mavs will take on the Redhawks of Seattle U Friday, March 29 at 10 a.m. and SJSU Saturday, March 30 at 10 a.m.

The Redhawks enter the weekend 3-8 throughout the season and 0-3 in conference play, while the SJSU is 10-4 overall and has yet to face a WAC opponent.

"We have always had great battle against Texas State, I don’t expect anything different this time," UT Arlington coach Diego Benitez said. "We had a great week of practice and I feel the girls are ready for this three-game series."
