ARLINGTON, Texas-- The men’s and women’s tennis teams head to Dallas to take on SMU Wednesday, April 10.
The men will begin play for the Mavs at 3 p.m., while the women follow up with a 4 p.m. start.
“It is great to have this cross-town rivalry,” UT Arlington coach Diego Benitez said about the women taking on the Mustangs. “We had the upper hand last year and will try to make it two win in a road.”
The women defeated SMU last year 4-3 in Arlington at the UTA Tennis Center.
The men are coming off their first Western Athletic Conference win of the season and hope to use that momentum to pick up a victory.
“We always look forward to playing against SMU,” Benitez said. “Every year is a true battle. Both teams bring the best out of each other; hopefully the ball will bounce in our side of the court this year.”
