ROZKALNE SELECTED TO SLC ALL-ACADEMIC TENNIS SQUAD
May 31, 2005 ARLINGTON, Texas - The 2005 Hibernia Bank/Southland Conference Women's Tennis All-Academic Team boasts just one Texas-Arlington Lady Maverick, Anete Rozkalne, on its six-member squad. The all-academic team honors student-athletes who were selected all-conference and/or named as a national all-academic recipient this year while also earning at least a 3.00 grade point average. Remaining spots on the all-academic teams are then voted on by the head coaches, sports information directors and academic/compliance administrators. Student-athletes must have completed one full academic year at the nominating institution and participated in at least 50 percent of the team's matches. Rozkalne, the lone junior on the academic team, compiled an 11-11 singles mark and went 12-9 in doubles for the SLC champion Lady Mavericks. She holds a 3.96 GPA in biology. 2005 HIBERNIA BANK/SOUTHLAND CONFERENCE WOMEN'S TENNIS ALL-ACADEMIC TEAMS NAME - UNIVERSITY - CL - GPA/MAJOR - HOMETOWN
