ARLINGTON, Texas – After a successful weekend in New York, women's tennis heads down the road for the ITA Regional Championship in Fort Worth hosted by TCU.

"We played a really good level of tennis in New York," UT Arlington coach Diego Benitez said. "I think that we have gained good confidence. We've been playing a lot of matches, a process designed to peak at Regionals. We are fortunate to be in the best tennis region in the nation and it's going to be fun."

Giada D'ortona won a singles draw at the 2013 USTA BJK NTC Women's College Invitational, which was played at the USTA National Tennis Center. Angeles de los Rios reached a singles final.

Doubles competition begins at 8 a.m., followed by two rounds of singles.

UTA's doubles teams are: Ekaterina Tugarinova and Elizabeth Thoms, de los Rios and Astrid Gehre, and D'ortona and Jessica Birowski.
