ARLINGTON, Texas - The UT Arlington women's tennis team is heading to Waco to compete in the Texas Regional this weekend.
Participating schools include Baylor, Houston, Lamar, North Texas, Rice, Stephen F. Austin, SMU, TCU, Texas, Texas A&M, Texas State, Texas Tech, UTEP, UT-Pan American, UTSA and UT Arlington. There will one 128-player singles draw and one 64-team doubles bracket.
"We are very excited for this tournament," UTA head coach Diego Benitez said. "Two of our players are coming off of great wins at Rice and we hope to continue our success and bring home another win."
Our Maverick, Brooke Dennis, won here flight in singles and doubles at the Rice Invitational in Houston last week. She will be tough competition this weekend along with her teammate Elizabeth Thoms who played doubles with Dennis in the last tournament.
