PRIOR TO UT ARLINGTON
• Competed for one season at Stephen F. Austin.
• Placed fourth in the 400m hurdles at the 2012 Southland Conference Outdoor Championships.
HIGH SCHOOL
• Was the 2011 Class 5A state champion in the 300m hurdles.
• Named to the all-state squad twice (2009, 2011).
• Placed third in the 400m hurdles at both the 2009 and 2010 USATF Junior Olympics.
• Had a personal-best time of 41.8 in the 300 hurdles.
• Earned four varsity letters in track.
• Also played volleyball at Timberview High School.
• Ran for the Dallas Gold Track Club.

• Is the daughter of Angie and Ricky Burris.
• Is a nursing major.
• Was a member of the National Honor Society as a prep, graduating 21st in a class of 587.
