Men and women fare well at Texas A&M Invitational

ARLINGTON - Texas - The men and women track teams competed in their first meet of the season, the Texas A&M Invitational. The women finished sixth out of 14 while the men finished seventh out of 15.
Perri Ford finished sixth in the women 1000 meter dash. She was a part of five top 10 finishes for the women. Amanda McMahon finished eighth in the 3000 meter run. The highlight of the day for the women was a first place finish in the 4x400 meter relay. The Aggies won the meet with 126 points scored. UTA had 33.
Then men had nine top 10 finishes, including three by Cordero Gray. Ozie Hood had the best finish however, with a third place finish in the one mile run. Gray's best finish was a sixth place finish in the 60 meter dash.
Texas A&M also won the meet overall for the men. They finished with 137 points. UTA finished with 30 points.
Next up for the men and women is the Texas Tech Invitational on January 22.
