2004 Season (Junior at UTA)
After playing in just 91 games prior to the 2004 season, Marek played in 111 last season, setting new career marks in almost every category...led the squad with 121 total blocks, the third best total in the Southland Conference...averaged 1.09 blocks per game...recorded 22 solo blocks and 99 block assists...averaged 1.76 kills per game and compiled a .234 attack percentage...put up a career-best 12 blocks at McNeese State Sept. 24...slammed career-high 14 kills in four-game win over Nicholls State Oct. 8...started every match for the Mavericks...named to SLC all-academic first team...represented volleyball on the UTA Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
2003 (Sophomore at UTA)
Named to Academic All-America District VI second team...Southland Conference All-Academic first team...appeared in 64 games for the Mavericks...totaled 36 blocks, averaging 0.56 per game...averaged 1.13 kills per game...set new career marks with eight kills, one service ace and two assists at Louisiana-Monroe Sept. 30...set a career high with 20 attempts vs. Nicholls State...received the 2003 UTA Volleyball Coaches award.
2002 (Freshman at UTA)
Appeared in nine games for the Mavericks...averaged 0.44 blocks per game in limited action...collected a season high three kills in five attempts for a .600 attack percentage in three-game sweep of Louisiana-Monroe Oct. 29.
2001 (RS Freshman at UTA)
Received medical redshirt following 2001 season...recipient of the B.G. Wilson Scholar Athlete of the Year award, the highest academic honor awarded by the UTA Athletic Department...appeared in six matches early in the season...did not play after Sept. 22 due to a stress fracture in her foot...set a career high with six kills vs. Idaho State Sept. 7 and tied the mark Sept. 21 at McNeese State...hit .455 (6-1-11) in the Idaho State match...hit .273 in the 2001 regular season...collected career-high nine blocks at McNeese State Sept. 21...averaged 1.22 blocks per game in limited action.
