SAN MARCOS, Texas – UT Arlington fell 3-0 to instate rival Texas State Wednesday night in San Marcos.
After winning four straight matches, the loss drops the Mavericks to 15-10 overall and 8-4 in the Sun Belt Conference.

"We talked about our blocks during the intermission," UT Arlington coach Diane Seymour said. "Thankfully we corrected it a little bit in the third set, unfortunately it was too late."
Texas State started the third set with a 6-1 run before the Mavericks were able to come within two points at 9-7. The Bobcats' lead would extend to eight before the Maverick made their push coming within three before dropping the set 25-21.
