ARLINGTON, Texas - - The UT Arlington volleyball team gets its spring season started this weekend with matches against Baylor, SMU and Stephen F. Austin. Baylor will serve as host, and the teams take the court at 9:15 a.m. at the McLane Student Life Center.

One week later on the morning of April 5, the 2008 Mavericks will make the short trip to Dallas for a spring tournament hosted by SMU. UTA will take on the Mustangs, UT El Paso, Ole Miss and Texas Tech.

The three-match spring season comes to a close with a home tournament on April 19.

UTA plays host to Oklahoma, Rice and SMU.

Matches begin at 9:30 a.m.

The Mavericks finished 19-11 last year and will welcome a five-player recruiting class next fall.
