TULSA, Oklahoma - The UT Arlington volleyball team split their spring matches this weekend by defeating Tulsa and narrowly falling to Oklahoma by a total of six points.
"Some things we have been working on look to be going well," UTA head volleyball coach Diane Seymour said. "Both middles (Ashley Bennett and Charmaine Whitmore) played very well. I also think it was the best I have seen Amanda Welsh play since she has been here."
"We’re looking forward to getting back to competition this weekend as we host our annual spring event," Seymour said.
The Mavericks will host a nine team spring tournament to be played Saturday, April 6 at the Maverick Activities Center on the UT Arlington campus. Participating in the UTA spring tournament is: Texas Tech, TCU, Abilene Christian, North Texas, Oklahoma, SMU, Dallas Baptist, Baylor and UT Arlington.
