Why did you start playing volleyball?
BW: I started playing because my older sister played and I thought I would try it out in junior high school.

What is your earliest memory of volleyball?
BW: Playing in my front yard in Colorado with my older sister when I was in elementary school.

Who is your inspiration in volleyball and why?
BW: Coach Steele, because of her love for the game and how it drove her throughout her life and kept her strong even when she was ill. Even till the last days her love for the game was strong.

Who is a current/former collegiate or professional volleyball athlete whom you admire and why?
BW: Kerri Walsh-Jennings. She is not only an amazing athlete but a good person on and off the court.

What are the strengths of your volleyball game? What are the areas you are currently trying to work on the most?
BW: Hitting and blocking are my strengths, plus having endurance. I would like to focus on defense and becoming a better defensive specialist.

Why did you decide to attend the UT Arlington?
BW: I liked the campus and how open minded and welcoming the coaches are.

What are your individual and team goals at UT Arlington?
BW: My individual goal is to continue to grow and strengthen as a player to help get my team wins. Teams goals would be to help our team bond and work as a cohesive group.

What is your academic major and why did you select that major?
BW: Biology and marine sciences. I enjoy marine biology and I had a great teacher in high school who really opened me up to the ocean and water and what I could do to help better protect the sea life.

What are your career goals (after volleyball) and why do you have an interest in pursuing that particular career?
BW: Want to travel and help marine life. Would like to be more involved in the efforts to save the great barrier reef and sea life.

What do you enjoy doing outside of volleyball and school?
BW: I enjoy being at the ocean and being with friends and family. I love taking vacations and experiencing new things.

Do you have any pets? What are their names and what role do they play in your life?
BW: Miss Kitty is my cat that adopted me about five years ago. She is my best friend.

What is something most people might not know about you?
BW: That I have a huge heart and I am really very kind but you have to earn that from me.

What would you most like to be known for as a UT Arlington volleyball player?
BW: Being an all around good player and person on and off the court

What advice would you give to a young girl who would like to one day be in your shoes?
BW: Work hard and take every opportunity that is offered to you. Never give up and don't let anyone tell you that you can't do something.
