ARLINGTON, Texas - UT Arlington volleyball hosts in-state rival Texas State at College Park Center on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
"We always feel animosity towards Texas State," UT Arlington coach Diane Seymour said. "We've made all our conference moves with Texas State so they're going to be our most familiar foe. We're tired of losing to them and it's time and I think the team feels the same way."
UTA leads the all-time series against Texas State 40-28. The Bobcats defeated the Mavs twice last season in a home-and-home series in Western Athletic Conference play.
Senior Shelby Dickson notched her sixth double-double performance of the year against Georgia State with 15 kills and 13 digs. Fellow senior Charmaine Whitmore (middle blocker) continued her solid play at the net last weekend and is currently ranked fourth in the nation in blocks per set (1.56).
Wednesday's match against Texas State is UT Arlington's annual Dig Pink match. Students wearing pink get in for free. For more information about helping the Mavericks raise funds in the fight against breast cancer, click here.
