UT Arlington newcomer Megan Moore, a senior transfer from SMU, and Caroline Erlington combined for a time of 28:31.00 for fourth place at the season-opening Islander Splash Meet here Friday.

The meet was a preview of the Southland Conference Cross Country Championship slated for Cotober 27. The format for the meet was a shuttle relay where teammates paired together and split the course distance in half.

Freshmen Amanda McMahon and Annabelle Everitt clocked a 29:29.00 for 10th palce and Perri Ford and Carranda Mose finished in 29:49.00 for 13th out of 18 teams.

Texas A&M-Corpus Christi duo of Tarryn DeBeer and Meghan Lemke won with a 28:05.00.

In the men's division, senior Jody Broccoli-Hickey and junior teammate Idilio Campos took third place with a time of 40:10.00. Ozie Hood and Armando Saldivar seventh with a 42:16.00; Ivan Pinal and Jose Balleza eighth with a 42:34.00 and Zack Zura and Jeff Raines 13th with a 43:14.00.
