Men and Women Cross Country Race with Stiff Competition in Stillwater.

ARLINGTON, Texas - The UT Arlington men's cross country team finished 19th while the women placed 17h at the 73rd annual Cowboy Jamboree at Oklahoma State early Saturday morning.
Jordan Chipangma from Notheren Arizona won the meet with a time of 23:44. Chipangma was part of a Northern Arizona team that finished in first place with 52 points. UTA finished with 560 points.
On the women's side, sophomore Jennifer Carey led the Mavs with a time of 18:48. It was good enough for a 68th place finish. Fellow sophomore Peri Ford was next in line for the Mavericks in 78th place with a time of 19:01.
The Mavericks as a team finished in 17th place with 490 points. Texas Tech won the meet with an impressive 36 points. Texas Tech's Lillian Badaru won the meet with a time of 17:10.
The men and women will next compete at the Arkansas Chili Pepper Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark.
