Southland Conference Championships Preview Get Acrobat Reader

ARLINGTON, Texas - The UT Arlington men's and women's cross country teams will run in the Southland Conference Championships on Monday, November 3, in Nacogdoches, Texas at the Piney Woods Country Club. The Maverick women will participate in a 6-kilometer race beginning at 9 a.m. while the UT Arlington men's team will start the 8-kilometer race at 9:45 a.m.

The Mavericks have been led this season by senior Idilio Campos, who recorded his personal-best 8K time earlier this season at the Texas A&M Invitational with a 24 minute, 42.01 second time. Campos won the 8K North Texas Invitational meet on Sept. 27 in Denton, with a time of 25:23.4.

The women's top runner this season has been senior Caroline Erlingson. With two runner-up finishes this season, Erlingson finished in second-place at the season-opening North Texas meet (2 mile) with a time of 11:49.04. She then finished second at the North Texas Invitational with a 5K-time of 18:41.9.
