The University of Texas at Arlington Athletics Department held its annual All-Sports Banquet on Monday evening at the Blue Bonnet Ballroom on the campus of UT Arlington. UIL REGION II CROSS COUNTRY MEET AT VANDERGRIFF PARK SATURDAY

The University of Texas at Arlington cross country program will host the UIL Region II Cross Country meet on Saturday, Nov. 8, at Vandergriff Park in Arlington. The first three teams and the first 10 individuals in the regional meet qualify for state.

The UT Arlington men's and women's cross country teams each placed fourth at the Southland Conference Championships on Monday morning at Piney Woods Country Club in Nacogdoches, Texas. The men's 8K race was won by Lamar with 29 total points while the women's 6K race was won by Texas A&M-Corpus Christi with 49 points.

UT ARLINGTON FINISHES CHILE PEPPER FESTIVAL IN 15TH AND 23RD PLACE

The UT Arlington men's and women's cross country teams competed in the 20th annual Chile Pepper Festival in Fayetteville, Ark., on Saturday morning. The Maverick men finished in 15th place with two runners completing the 10,000 meter race inside the top 100 runners, while the UT Arlington women took 23rd place in the 6,000 meter race with 306 total runners.
